  1. I must say that the vendor was very good in shipping the item. What I am unhappy about i that there was no disclaimer on the ad for this item, that said it was high capacity and only worked on high capacity products. So beware that this is not just another memory cards.

  2. I wonder why this doesn’t work in my laptop (XP), desktop (VISTA) and scanner. I expect it should work atleast with my desktop because, it is one year old and has all latest sp updates. My friend told me that the new memory cards are only compatible with the new card readers not with the old machines.

I didn’t see any of this information while i bought this item. I returned this item because of this compatibility problem.

Still haven’t received my order yet because they sent it to somewhere in Washington, which would be fine if I didn’t give a shipping address in Florida. After four days, I still have no response to my email from the third party seller, which is apparently located in rural Kazakhstan judging by what they charge to send it to you. Seven bucks for what must be among the smallest, lightest items on the entire Amazon site? Come on…

I’ve been using this card as regular media for my eeepc 4g surf for a month or so and everything has gone well. I have an 8GB partition on it that is serving as my home directory (I’m running xubuntu), and I’m working on installing slackware linux on the other 8GB. By far the best deal for a 16GB SDHC I found when looking!

One problem you might anticipate when trying to use the SDHC as a boot drive is that the default ubuntu fstab does something weird… I think it tries to mount the SDHC as a read-only cdrom or something. If you have the know-how to manipulate the fstab (or install on the regular SSD HD and then copy the filesystem over to the SDHC) then you should be fine to use this as a boot drive.

  5. used expedited shipping option w/Amazon Prime. Got product shipped notification the seller the next day, but product didn’t actually ship until 3 days later. :(
